What to Expect from Your Inline Skating Lesson

I'm unable to take anyone for lessons during October 2026. If you would like to book beyond October then click here for the booking form.

I'm looking for halls to hold lessons in. Ideally close to the upper braes area of Falkirk and a minimum size of one badminton court. Email skating@gregorwatson.co.uk to let me know about any halls with availability.

Your Lesson Experience
Expect a welcoming, friendly, relaxed environment. Lessons begin with a brief introduction and a chat about your goals and experience level.

Personalised Instruction
Every lesson is adapted to your needs. Beginners learn how to stop and turn safely while more experienced skaters can work on speed control, different stops and turns and even inline tricks. No matter your starting point, you’ll receive supportive, step-by-step instruction and feedback throughout.

Skills You’ll Learn

  • How to fall and get up with confidence
  • Starting and stopping using a variety of braking techniques
  • Turning and navigating obstacles smoothly
  • Improving speed, agility, and overall control

What to Bring
I recommend comfortable sportswear, drinking water, your own skates and protective gear is recommended for beginners (a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards). If you don’t have equipment, let me know and I’ll bring some for you to borrow.
